シンガーソングライター・中島みゆきさんの歌に、『フォーチュン・クッキー』があります。私が初めてフォーチュン・クッキーを食べたのは、カナダに来てからのことです。フォーチュン・クッキーのなかには、おみくじのような紙が入っていました。カナダでこれを食べるまでは、すっかり中国にしかないものだと思い込んでいました。中国から来た友人に「フォーチュン・クッキーを食べたよ」と話したら、「知らない。おもしろそうな食べ物だね」と言われました。実は、中国ではむしろ、フォーチュン・クッキーは一般的ではないようです。
The song "Fortune Cookie" was composed and sung by Ms. Miyuki Nakajima, a Japanese singer and song writer. I ate a "Fortune Cookie" at the first time of my life in Canada. In the "Fortune Cookie", there was a paper like a written oracle. Before I ate this cookies in Canada, I was possessed with the idea that there are this cookies only in China. I said, "I ate "Fortune Cookie", you know". My friend from China said, "I don't know. It sounds interesting". Really, I heard this cookie is rather not popular in China.
