ねてました NE-TE-MA-SHI-TA

『ねてました』
この街にやって来たばかりの頃、僕はある小さなお店に立ち寄った。
そして、お店のママにコーヒーを注文した。
そのとき、ママは僕が日本人だと気づいたようだ。
ママは、お店で働いている少女を紹介して、「この子は日本語が少し話せるのよ」と言った。
僕「コンニチハ」（日本語）
少女「コンニチハ。ワタシ、ネテマシタ」（日本語）
僕「あなたは眠っていましたか？」（英語）
少女「はい！」（英語）
最近、そのお店に立ち寄ってみたけれど、ママも少女もコーヒーも見かけることはなかった。
みんな、眠りについて夢の中にいるのかもしれない。
いや、もしかしたら、僕自身がこの街で長い夢を見ていたのかもしれない。
そろそろ、この街を出ることにしよう。
新しい夢でも見に行こう。
"NE-TE-MA-SHI-TA (I was sleeping)"
I dropped at one small shop when just coming to this town.
I ordered a coffee to the mama of the shop.
She noticed that I was a Japanese.
She introduced a girl and said, "She (the girl) can speak Japanese a little".
I: "KO-N-NI-CHI-WA (Hello)".
Girl : "KO-N-NI-CHI-WA (Hello). WA-TA-SHI, NE-TE-MA-SHI-TA (I was sleeping)".
I : "You were sleeping ?".
She : "Yes !".
Though I dropped at the shop recently, I didn't see the mama, the girl and coffees.
Everybody and everything may be dreaming in the middle of sleeping.
No, I might possibly have had a long dream in this town.
I will depart from this town soon.
I will go to have a new dream.
